I am so glad to be a part of the change here at Sherwood. I am excited to be able to be working with such a wonderful group of young people. We have a great opportunity to help spread our message and share our knowledge with the rest of our community.
How does our community recycle? Our school building recycles many things ~ paper, bottles, cans and juice pouches. We work together as a community to make this happen. Rumpke is our partner in this project. Here is a short video clip that explains what happens to our recycled materials once they leave our building. Click on the recycle symbol to view the video. How does 3rd Grade help the environment? In third grade we try to do what we can to help the environment. Here are some of the things we do everyday...
recycle all extra papers and papers we don't need to take home
turn off computers each night
turn off our classroom lights when we are not in the room
recycle our juice pouches and our plastic drink bottle
some of us use reusable waterbottles for our water
